Black algae - Staghorn algae
This aquarium black algae looks like strands of hair. They stick on leaves and are difficult to remove without ruining the leaves.
This black algae tends to stay in certain spot in aquarium which gets much light, the strands will grow long reaching the light source.
The aquarium black algae doesn't grow and multiply fast, just cut the invaded leaves since pulling it off can ruin the leaves anyway.
Certain level of ammonia (it should be zero) and low CO2 levels can flourish this aquarium algae. Algae eaters such as Siamese Algae Eater will only eat the young algae, regularly prune your aquarium plants will limit their growth.
